Welcome to the South Palm Beach Bar Association’s web page. I am so honored to be the president of the SPBCBA this year.
Thanks to the hard work of our Board of Directors and our Executive Director, Lisa Hurley, we are having an amazing year. Our monthly lunches have been moved to our new lunch venue at Morton’s Steakhouse in Boca Raton. We are excited that, among other exciting lunch speakers, we will have the honor of hosting Eugene Pettis, President of The Florida Bar, and Justice Jorge Labarga of the Florida Supreme Court. Our committees are hard at work with CLE programs and networking events. Benefits of membership include educational programming and opportunities to network with colleagues and interaction between the bench and bar.
In other exciting news, I am pleased to announce that the Young Lawyers Section of the SPBCBA now officially holds a voting seat on the Board of Directors thanks to the amendment of the by-laws passed by you, the members. In addition, I am very proud to announce the creation of two very important committees, the Committee for Diversity and Inclusion, and the Professionalism Committee. The biggest “thank you” goes to you, the member. Because of your participation in our signature events, lunches, and committee events, we are stronger than ever! Please don’t hesitate to contact me or our Executive Director, Lisa Hurley, with any questions or concerns.
